This new product is pitched as being stain free and the company also plans to introduce a comfort indicator for consumers to better choose their mattress range.

Developed with the sleepers comfort and body type in mind, Spaldin introduces a host of new sleep system at the World Market Center in Las Vegas, the primary of which is one called the Vitario bed. Ron Trzcinski runs the Original Mattress Company, a Cleveland based establishment with about 11 factories and 100 mattress stores spread across the Midwest. His experience in the business is a good 40 years, nearly, and this includes some 18 years with Sealy Corp. Despite the changes in the industry, Trzcinski still applies the most basic concepts in mattress selling and is regarded highly in the business for his expertise.

Trzcinski wanted to demystify the process of buying a bed. He said he didn’t like the practice of manufacturers selling basically the same product with different names and fabrics through different retailers, making it hard for consumers to compare. Nor did he like high-pressure sales tactics or the fake urgency of some retailers’ markdowns.

The rocket that hit near his factory’s doorway in Sderot on Thursday morning was the last straw for the CEO of Hollandia International. Also expected to grace the event is Thom Winniger, a market strategist and author of the book, “Price Wars”. Other mattress marketing retail owners will also be sharing their success stories, providing a clearer picture on the state of the bedding industry today.

CNN Money is reporting that Tempur-Pedic’s president and chief executive officer, H. Thomas Bryant, will be retiring from the mattress company sometimg this year. As a result, Tempur-Pedic has formed a committee with an outside executive firm overseeing the search for his new replacement.

America’s fifth largest mattress retailer, Mattress Giant, is celebrating it’s 25th year in Miami Florida and the company is holding a Giant Bed Makeover sweepstakes. The winners of the draw will each get three beds complete with bedding sets and accessories, valued at $30,150. To enter the sweepstakes, you can registers at any of the stores 50 locations across Miami, and you will be made to answer why your bedroom deserves a make over.
