If you’ve got an unused monitor laying around, there’s one more important use for it as a cat bed frame.

The idea behind this innovation comes from this online store at Etsy and it is being sold for $110.00, including a custom fitted pillow that serves as its mattress.

Says its maker, Alpine, “I make these out of recycled monitors. The insides are gutted, and taken to a facility to reclaim and recycle the picture tube, and parts, insuring they do not end up in a landfill.”

Not a bad idea for helping in saving the planet, eh?

For a moment, I mistook it for an elegant bed tray but this is actually a cat’s bed. The base is acrylic and the mattress cushion is made from odor-resistant, water-resistant nylon quality foam. The cover comes in fashionable colors and it is also reversible and machine washable.
