If you’re looking for a chemical-free mattress, White Lotus has those 100% borate free types for $188. Although, a doctor’s note will be required when you purchase this. Why is that so? Apparently boric powder is what is found in those flame-retardant mattresses, a requirement that is stated by law. For mattress to be fire-safe, it has to have this chemical in it.
