The Intellibed mattress contains Intelli-Gel®, a substance made of co-polymer gel that is designed exact body contouring and relieves pressure and discomfort zones when sleeping in different positions.

Intelli-Gel® is made from a space-aged co-polymer called Gelastic.It is not a viscous liquid like most gels, but rather a soft, very strong rubber-like material. It is so strong, in fact, that it can be stretched to over 20 times its resting length, and snap right back to shape! The Gelastic is formed into a series of support walls that are designed to stand firm under lighter loads, but to relax if the pressure gets too high. This provides the ultimate in comfortable back support, no matter what position you sleep in!

1. Latex mattresses are a natural, biodegradable renewable resource.
Beginning on plantations in Malaysia and Indonesia, latex is sap milked from rubber trees in a manner not unlike collecting maple syrup. Local workers harvest the liquid latex and prepare it to be processed. The liquid latex is then shipped in drums to locations in Europe and the United States where it is manufactured into mattress cores and toppers, as well as pillows. Unlike Talalay processed latex foams, natural latex has no added petroleum or other chemical additives making it a truly all natural material. Being a 100% renewable resource, as well as biodegradable, natural latex does not have the taxing effect on the environment as other conventional bedding material.

Although not as expensive as the Vividus mattress which has horsehair in it, Grandis is the one of the fewer mattresses to ever combine latex and memory foam, suede and Cashmere (for its pillow top).

It also has an air flow chamber to cool you down on warmer nights and for support, it is designed with a high density orthopedic base.  Because of its latex foam, the mattress is eco-friendly and hypoallergenic. FIREBLOCKER® technology is also applied for safe use.
