It’s a chaise, it’s a lounge, it’s a bed, it…moves like a hospital bed — whatever you may think of this bed, the fact is, it can serve a variety of function. The added multi-media feature is not bad, too.  The hydraulic mechanism might feel surprising so one can easily switch to electrical function. It has build in nigh lights, an adjustable elevated head, an ottoman which houses a flat screen TV with video players.

The cushion support? Comes in springs and a “viscojel layer”.

Mario Bellini is the designer of the Marilyn bed and is made availble at Flou. The bed is in bright red leather and it is shaped so sensuously, much like the woman who served as its inspiration. The whole set comes with matching mattresses and other add-ons like beddings, benches and ottoman.
