This canopy bed from its Jane collection is, in fact, priced at about $1679 and is constructed using the finest solid wood.  It’s also quite a versatile one. Removing the canopy will reveal a standard four poster bed.

Standard twin size mattress is perfect for this bed and box springs aren’t necessary.

Does this look like a sturdy and safe baby cradle to you?

It does look like solid wood, no? But yes it is made of cardboard and the frame is actually thick enough to accommodate a baby who is five months old. It’s from ReturDesign a Sweden based furniture company which supports eco-consciousness and it is priced at about $175.

When your baby has outgrown this crib frame, you can easily pass this on to someone who needs it, or break it down and send for recycle. Sounds great, doesn’t it?

I’ve seen a lot of platform beds of this type and I don’t know about you, the simplicity of it? Can’t get enough. Suffice to say, I love this type of bed design.

This bed reminds me of the ones Roman emperors and empress used to sleep on in ancient times.

Designer by Antonia Astori was perhaps inspired by the medieval period when she did this double canopy bed, EdwardII. Made of merbau solid wood, the bed also features a sturdy headboard with satin finish, as well as legs in stainless inox steel.

Does this not look like it straight out of a fantasy movie or book? The bed frame is not made of solid wood though. No trees were harmed in crafting this. It’s all metal, and it is a creation by Shawn Lovell, whose other furniture designs are seen here.

I have no idea why it’s named One for Two but this bed frame, designed by Birgit Gämmerler, Rolf Huber and Iris Braun looks durable and sturdy enough. It is made of solid wood and comes in Oak, American cherry and walnut.
